MR Conditional What does this mean?

MR Safe – an item that poses no known hazards in all MRI environments. Using the terminology, “MR Safe” items are non-conducting, non-metallic, and non-magnetic items such as a plastic Petri dish. An item may be determined to be MR Safe by providing a scientifically based rationale rather than test data.

MR Conditional – an item that has been demonstrated to pose no known hazards in a specified MR environment with specified conditions of use. “Field” conditions that define the MR environment include static magnetic field strength, spatial gradient magnetic field, dB/dt (time rate of change of the magnetic field), radio frequency (RF) fields, and specific absorption rate (SAR). Additional conditions, including specific configurations of the item (e.g., the routing of leads used for a neurostimulation system), may be required.

MR Unsafe – An item that is known to pose hazards in all MRI environments. MR Unsafe items include magnetic items such as a pair of ferromagnetic scissors.

The MRI Certified Fire Extinguisher H2O is specifically designed to provide effective fire suppression in environments equipped with MRI equipment and other sensitive machinery. Utilizing deionized water as a non-conductive and non-corrosive extinguishing agent, this advanced fire extinguisher ensures optimal safety without jeopardizing the performance or integrity of MRI products. Its fine mist nozzle delivers a superior cooling effect, reducing the risk of fire re-ignition and minimizing the scattering of burning materials, making it an ideal choice for controlled environments such as healthcare facilities, diagnostic centers, telecommunication rooms, and clean room manufacturing setups.

Engineered to meet stringent safety and certification standards, the MRI Certified Fire Extinguisher H2O is lightweight and easy to use, ensuring quick and efficient fire management even in critical situations. Designed for Class A fires and potential Class C hazards, this extinguisher offers unmatched protection in hospital environments and areas housing delicate equipment and valuable items, such as books and documents. With its superior performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance, the MRI Certified Fire Extinguisher H2O stands out as the optimal fire suppression tool for facilities prioritizing safety, precision, and the protection of advanced imaging equipment.
