MR Conditional What does this mean?
MR Safe

MR Safe – an item that poses no known hazards in all MRI environments. Using the terminology, “MR Safe” items are non-conducting, non-metallic, and non-magnetic items such as a plastic Petri dish. An item may be determined to be MR Safe by providing a scientifically based rationale rather than test data.

MR Conditional

MR Conditional – an item that has been demonstrated to pose no known hazards in a specified MR environment with specified conditions of use. “Field” conditions that define the MR environment include static magnetic field strength, spatial gradient magnetic field, dB/dt (time rate of change of the magnetic field), radio frequency (RF) fields, and specific absorption rate (SAR). Additional conditions, including specific configurations of the item (e.g., the routing of leads used for a neurostimulation system), may be required.

MR Unsafe

MR Unsafe – An item that is known to pose hazards in all MRI environments. MR Unsafe items include magnetic items such as a pair of ferromagnetic scissors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the MRI Extra Wide Lab Cart MR Conditional and approved for MRI suite use?

Yes. The MRI Extra Wide Lab Cart is MR Conditional and designed for safe use in MRI environments up to 3 Tesla, meeting the ASTM F2503 standard for MR Conditional devices. Its non-magnetic construction prevents magnetic attraction, torque, or radiofrequency interference, making it suitable for use in MRI Zones III and IV when used under the specified test conditions.

What materials make this MRI lab cart safe and durable?

This cart is built with a non-magnetic core, using polyethylene and ABS plastic for strength and long-term durability. The clear PETG viewing door provides visibility of stored items without compromising safety, and the seamless one-piece top is easy to disinfect. Every component is corrosion-resistant and non-ferrous, ensuring performance and safety inside the MRI suite.

How does the Extra Wide Lab Cart help improve workflow in MRI facilities?

The extra-wide design offers a larger work surface and more storage capacity than standard MRI carts, making it ideal for managing multiple coils, positioning aids, or lab supplies. The three full-extension drawers and bulk storage area behind a clear locking door keep supplies visible and organized. Built-in handles and 5-inch locking casters make it easy to move and secure in place during procedures, streamlining workflow in tight MRI environments.

What are the size, storage, and mobility specifications for this MRI lab cart?

The MRI Extra Wide Lab Cart measures 36 inches wide × 18 inches deep × 38 inches high and features four 5-inch locking casters for easy mobility and stability. It includes three full-extension drawers, a large bulk storage compartment, and a clear PETG viewing door that allows for quick inventory checks. Its wide top surface offers additional space for equipment setup or prep work near the MRI scanner.

What are the warranty, shipping, and setup details for this MRI cart?

Each MRI Extra Wide Lab Cart ships fully assembled and ready for immediate use. It’s made in the USA and backed by a limited manufacturer’s warranty for quality and reliability.
