MR Safe What does this mean?
MR Safe

MR Safe – an item that poses no known hazards in all MRI environments. Using the terminology, “MR Safe” items are non-conducting, non-metallic, and non-magnetic items such as a plastic Petri dish. An item may be determined to be MR Safe by providing a scientifically based rationale rather than test data.

MR Conditional

MR Conditional – an item that has been demonstrated to pose no known hazards in a specified MR environment with specified conditions of use. “Field” conditions that define the MR environment include static magnetic field strength, spatial gradient magnetic field, dB/dt (time rate of change of the magnetic field), radio frequency (RF) fields, and specific absorption rate (SAR). Additional conditions, including specific configurations of the item (e.g., the routing of leads used for a neurostimulation system), may be required.

MR Unsafe

MR Unsafe – An item that is known to pose hazards in all MRI environments. MR Unsafe items include magnetic items such as a pair of ferromagnetic scissors.

Create a more secure and comfortable imaging setup with a modular head support system designed to adapt to individual patient needs. This set includes six positioning pads in two thicknesses, giving technologists the flexibility to place support exactly where it’s needed around the patient’s head.

With three 1.5" thick pads and three 0.75" thick pads, the set provides multiple options for filling gaps, accommodating different head shapes, and fine-tuning positioning. Having the right size pad readily available can reduce the need to fold or layer towels, helping streamline setup and create a more consistent positioning experience from patient to patient.

Each pad features a soft, fluid-resistant 4-way stretch cover that conforms smoothly to the foam while providing a comfortable patient-contact surface. The easy-to-clean cover is designed for the demands of clinical imaging environments.

A durable and cost-effective alternative to Siemens turquoise semicircular pads (Part #05515775), this six-pad set is designed for use with the Siemens Head Coil (Part #10496500) and is compatible with other head coils.

Features:

  • Includes three 1.5" pads and three 0.75" pads for flexible head positioning
  • Position pads individually around the patient’s head to fill gaps and achieve a secure, comfortable fit
  • Multiple pad thicknesses can reduce the need to fold or layer towels for positioning
  • Soft, fluid-resistant 4-way stretch covers conform to the foam and provide a wipe-clean patient-contact surface
  • A durable replacement option for Siemens turquoise semicircular pads (Part #05515775), designed for Siemens Head Coil (Part #10496500) and compatible with other head coils
  • MR Safe

Overall Dimensions:

  • (3) Large: 7″L x 3″W x 1.5″H
  • (3) Small: 6.5″L x 3″W x 0.75″H
