MR Safe What does this mean?

MR Safe – an item that poses no known hazards in all MRI environments. Using the terminology, “MR Safe” items are non-conducting, non-metallic, and non-magnetic items such as a plastic Petri dish. An item may be determined to be MR Safe by providing a scientifically based rationale rather than test data.

MR Conditional – an item that has been demonstrated to pose no known hazards in a specified MR environment with specified conditions of use. “Field” conditions that define the MR environment include static magnetic field strength, spatial gradient magnetic field, dB/dt (time rate of change of the magnetic field), radio frequency (RF) fields, and specific absorption rate (SAR). Additional conditions, including specific configurations of the item (e.g., the routing of leads used for a neurostimulation system), may be required.

MR Unsafe – An item that is known to pose hazards in all MRI environments. MR Unsafe items include magnetic items such as a pair of ferromagnetic scissors.

Organize and streamline your MRI equipment with these highly visible red adhesive labels, meticulously designed for use in MRI environments. These durable labels are crafted to clearly mark and categorize various MRI products, ensuring your workspace remains orderly and professional. The bold red color enhances visibility, minimizing the risk of misplacing critical MRI accessories or mixing them with incompatible items. With three moisture-resistant sizes available, these labels provide flexible options to accommodate different needs in hospitals, imaging centers, or other specialized settings.

Each pack contains 12 precision-engineered labels, offering superior adhesion on most surfaces and reliable performance even under demanding conditions. Perfect for tagging both MRI equipment and non-compatible devices, these semi-permanent stickers serve as an effective organizational tool to prevent confusion and enhance safety, particularly during emergencies. For added versatility, green labels are also available, allowing for comprehensive categorization across all your essential MRI products.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are red MRI labels typically used for in an MRI suite?

Red labels are often used to flag items that should be kept out of controlled MRI zones, or to separate equipment that’s not intended to enter areas near the magnet. Many facilities use red labeling as a quick visual cue during room turnover or emergencies, so techs can immediately identify items that need extra scrutiny before they move toward Zone III or Zone IV. This pack gives you a consistent, high-visibility option for building that system.

2. Are these red MRI labels durable enough for daily cleaning and high-traffic workflow?

Yes. These labels are made with moisture-resistant material and a semi-permanent adhesive that holds up well to routine disinfecting and the constant handling that comes with busy MRI operations. The print doesn’t smear, and the adhesive stays put on carts, bins, tools, and monitors, even after repeated cleaning cycles.

3. How should I use the three label sizes in this 12-pack?

Most facilities match size to visibility needs. The small labels are great for handheld tools, coils, and accessory drawers. The medium labels work well for equipment shelves and prep-area storage. The large labels are ideal for carts, cabinets, and items that move between zones, since they stand out at a distance. Using all three sizes together creates a clear, consistent labeling system that helps staff check items quickly during a busy shift.
