MR Safe What does this mean?

MR Safe – an item that poses no known hazards in all MRI environments. Using the terminology, “MR Safe” items are non-conducting, non-metallic, and non-magnetic items such as a plastic Petri dish. An item may be determined to be MR Safe by providing a scientifically based rationale rather than test data.

MR Conditional – an item that has been demonstrated to pose no known hazards in a specified MR environment with specified conditions of use. “Field” conditions that define the MR environment include static magnetic field strength, spatial gradient magnetic field, dB/dt (time rate of change of the magnetic field), radio frequency (RF) fields, and specific absorption rate (SAR). Additional conditions, including specific configurations of the item (e.g., the routing of leads used for a neurostimulation system), may be required.

MR Unsafe – An item that is known to pose hazards in all MRI environments. MR Unsafe items include magnetic items such as a pair of ferromagnetic scissors.

Enhance the safety and organization of your facility with high-visibility green MRI labels, designed specifically for environments utilizing MRI equipment. These durable labels are essential for clearly identifying tools, devices, and areas associated with MRI products, minimizing the risk of equipment being misplaced or confused in critical scenarios. Their robust adhesive ensures they remain securely affixed, even in demanding medical settings, contributing to streamlined operations and regulatory compliance within hospitals, imaging centers, and research facilities.

Available in three moisture-resistant sizes, these semi-permanent labels are versatile enough to meet various needs. Use them to visibly mark MRI accessories and designate non-compatible equipment, preventing the accidental introduction of hazardous magnetic items into MRI zones. Both green and red options are offered, enabling effective classification to support operational accuracy in high-demand environments. With these professional labels, your facility can maintain clear workflows and promote overall safety in handling MRI products.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are green MRI labels typically used for in an imaging department?

Most facilities use green labels to identify equipment that has already been cleared for MRI use or to mark accessories that stay permanently assigned to the MRI suite. The bold color helps techs spot approved items quickly during room turnover or safety checks, which cuts down on confusion and keeps workflows smooth. This 25-pack gives you enough labels to standardize marking across carts, bins, coils, and storage areas.

2. Do these green MRI labels stay on reliably through disinfecting and daily use?

Yes. These labels are made from moisture-resistant material with a semi-permanent adhesive that holds up to routine hospital cleaning products and repeated wipe-downs. They stay readable and secure on plastic, metal, and coated surfaces commonly found in MRI suites. They’re durable enough for high-traffic environments without being impossible to remove when you need to re-organize.

3. How should I choose between the small, medium, and large label sizes in this pack?

Most teams match the size to how visible they need the label to be. Small labels fit well on handheld tools, cable bundles, drawers, and small accessories. Medium labels work for shelves, prep areas, and storage zones where staff need clear labeling during fast turnovers. Large labels are best for carts, cabinets, and equipment that moves between spaces, since the bigger size makes them easy to read from across the room. Using all three creates a consistent, easy-to-follow labeling system throughout the MRI suite.
