MR Unsafe What does this mean?
MR Safe

MR Safe – an item that poses no known hazards in all MRI environments. Using the terminology, “MR Safe” items are non-conducting, non-metallic, and non-magnetic items such as a plastic Petri dish. An item may be determined to be MR Safe by providing a scientifically based rationale rather than test data.

MR Conditional

MR Conditional – an item that has been demonstrated to pose no known hazards in a specified MR environment with specified conditions of use. “Field” conditions that define the MR environment include static magnetic field strength, spatial gradient magnetic field, dB/dt (time rate of change of the magnetic field), radio frequency (RF) fields, and specific absorption rate (SAR). Additional conditions, including specific configurations of the item (e.g., the routing of leads used for a neurostimulation system), may be required.

MR Unsafe

MR Unsafe – An item that is known to pose hazards in all MRI environments. MR Unsafe items include magnetic items such as a pair of ferromagnetic scissors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose the sterile or non-sterile PullUp™ SlimFit Probe Cover?

That depends on your procedure and your facility's protocols. Sterile probe covers are commonly used for procedures requiring a sterile field and include sterile gel for convenience. The non-sterile option is often selected for examinations where a sterile cover isn't required.

How do I know which probe cover size to order?

The correct size depends on the type and dimensions of your endocavity probe. Before ordering, compare your probe's specifications with the available cover sizes to ensure a secure fit without excess material that could affect handling during the examination.

What is the advantage of the PullUp™ application system?

The PullUp™ design allows the cover to be applied quickly while minimizing unnecessary handling of the probe. This can help improve workflow, especially in busy practices where multiple examinations are performed throughout the day.

Does the slim profile affect ultrasound image quality?

The SlimFit design is intended to maintain close contact between the probe and the patient while minimizing excess material around the transducer. This helps support consistent acoustic performance without adding unnecessary bulk during the examination.

Do the sterile versions include everything needed for the procedure?

Yes. The sterile models include both securing bands and sterile gel, allowing clinicians to prepare the probe without needing to gather those items separately. This can help simplify room setup and reduce preparation time before the examination.
